ANNE OF GREEN GABLES
Step back in time and experience 19th century farm life as you wander the rolling hills of Green Gables House. The house and the land surrounding it inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery to pen her beloved novel, Anne of Green Gables. Located 3 minutes from Cavendish Lodge & Cottages.
BIRTHPLACE OF L.M. MONTGOMERY
Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, was born in 1874 in this modest white and green house, decorated with authentic Victorian period pieces and overlooking New London Harbour. Special exhibits include the replica of the writer’s wedding dress and personal scrapbooks containing copies of her many stories and poems.Located 10 minutes from Cavendish Lodge & Cottages.
ANNE OF GREEN GABLES MUSEUM
The Anne of Green Gables Museum at the beautiful Campbell Homestead, is a museum dedicated to the life and works of the author of Anne of Green Gables, Lucy Maud Montgomery. View the many artifacts and places that she wrote about such as the Lake of Shining Waters, Anne’s Enchanted Bookcase and a unique collection of the author’s belongings. CAVENDISH BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL
The largest multi-day outdoor music festival in Atlantic Canada.
